I know many do not want to hear this at a time of war, social isolation, and chaos but if we know and have this love now we will not be moved away from Christ in the days of trouble.
Joy comes in the morning
While the events of life may be completely overwhelming, and very upsetting we don't wander off into the darkness of our emotions where there is no help we go to the one who is our help. Psalm 46 talks about God being our refuge and strength and very present help in trouble.
I'm still thinking about that cave - Know the voice of God
1 Kings 19:11-13 …Then the LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD. Behold, the LORD is about to pass by.” And a great and mighty wind tore into the mountains and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a still, small voice. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
