Sharing His glory Colossians 1:27 For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. NLT
The way we crucify the flesh is through the knowledge of the truth and obedience to the Holy Spirit. In our time of need or someone else’s, what is our reaction in thought and action? Are we controlled by the spirit or the flesh?
Look into Galatians 5:24-25 think about verse 26
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 17 Amplified Bible, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”
Time spent with the Lord produces even greater works
Charles Finney passed through a small community in upstate New York. Houghton, New York was a normal town, yet one day as Charles Finney’s train was passing by, the Holy Spirit fell on the sinners of the community. Men in bars fell on their knees under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and asked Jesus Christ to save them.
Paul Acts 19:11-12 God did extraordinary miracles through the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and the diseases and evil spirits left them.
Peter Acts 5:15-16 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. / Crowds also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those tormented by unclean spirits, and all of them were healed.
