Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)
22 it is of the LORD's Mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 they are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
I like that mercy is available, but if every morning I need mercy… Then everyday I am sinning
The hospital opens up every morning, but I don’t need the hospital every morning unless I am sick
Remember mercy is needed when I have punishment coming because of sin.
Romans 3:24 (Nlt)
yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
Romans 6:1-2 (Nlt)
Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? 2 of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
God shows us grace……. Because of sin
So if we are not sinning, because we have died to sin, then there is no need for grace
If you need grace, then you have sin in your life
The goal for us is not mercy and grace
The goal is for us to be blessed

When we put mercy and grace in proper perspective, we must understand that.
To receive mercy and grace in our situations does not mean ……..God is happy that you did not meet his standard
And because we are not consumed. God is not lowering his standards to give us mercy and grace
Mercy and grace gives us an opportunity to get back up and get it right
