Matthew 5:17-18 (NLT)
17 “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.
It makes you think that it saying that not even the smallest detail of gods law will ever disappear
But it says until……. Its purpose is achieved
Remember the purpose of God’s law was to bring his people closer to him
To give them ways they could love him… obey him and be totally committed to him
To fulfill the key to life

So Jesus said he had come to accomplish the purpose of the law ,…………without the law,
Because Jesus said that he came to accomplish the purpose of the law
And then when he died, he said ,…….. It is finished .
We can assume that he was saying mission accomplished / …………I did what I came to do
Jesus was born to save his people from their sins
And sin was the biggest enemy keeping the law from accomplishing its purpose
