Many African Americans have difficulty tracing their lineage, but in the midst of discussions about reparations, more and more Black people are discovering their roots. Our guests tonight found themselves in a position to change not only their lives, but countless others’ lives through genealogical research. John Mills, Founded a non-profit, the “Alex Breanne Corporation”, named after his daughter to expand his capacity to do this kind of painstaking research. He is joined by Wendy Tyson-Wood President of the Greater Waterbury NAACP in Connecticut. Listen to their stories of success, and the struggle to properly recognize our enslaved ancestors.
