Earlier this week we had a passionate dialogue with Texas State Representatives Bowers & Sherman about the Darryl George case and how it connects to the Crown Act they and several other colleagues co-authored into a law. Tonight we dig deeper into this issue of institutions, schools in particular, pushing back on the use of protective hairstyles with Assistant Counsel for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund in Texas, Patricia Okonta who sees similarities in the George situation to another incident featuring Black teens in the state of Texas, and how these two cases are linked.
