Description

I talk to Radha Kapoor (@radhakapoor9) who leads venture partnerships for @getclearco. Built by Founders for Founders, Clearco is the world’s largest e-commerce investor and offers the most Founder-friendly capital solutions for e-commerce, a trusted network, and multiple other tools and resources including data-driven insights. Radha anchors partnerships of Clearco.  She has been a true collaborator as we defined the @btfounderstudio partnership with Clearco.  In our first episode of Season 2, Radha talks about her journey in mastering several career paths. She left her corporate law practice to pursue her interest in fashion and co-founded the LookLab. Radha shares the skillset and value alignment that led to her role at Clearco. We dive into the criteria for obtaining Clearco funding --as opposed to an equity investment– and the tools and suggestions that the platform offers to Founders for marketing and inventory needs including the understanding of valuation, and  improvement of metrics.  Tune in for more conversation on the lending bias, building without a pre-existing network, compartmentalizing advice, and our shared excitement for the upcoming ClearPitch competition on February 17th to award a Black Founder with a grant from Clearco! I will be a judge along with BrainTrust Founders Studio Advisors, Debbie Perelman, CEO and President of @Revlon and Gloria Chang Yip, CFA and Execute Director at JP Morgan Private Bank!  Don’t miss my full conversation with Radha this Sunday, the first episode of BOTB Season 2! “The environment has improved for early stage Founders. When I was doing it, you were kind of out there on your own with zero support and very little in the way of resources…what is really great now is that there are accelerators and founder studios that are focused on specific verticals.” And make sure to check out ClearPitch through the link in bio!  https://clear.co/landing/clearpitch/braintrust/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
