Dr. Timothy Schoechle is an international consultant in computer and communications engineering and in technical standards development.
As an entrepreneur, he has engineered the development of electric utility gateways and energy management systems for over 25 years and has played a role in the development of standards for home networks and for advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). Dr. Schoechle was a co-founder of BI Incorporated, a pioneer developer of RFID technology.
He is the author of the recent white paper, Getting Smarter About the Smart Grid published by the National Institute for Science, Law & Public Policy. He will be part of an upcoming expert panel at San Francisco's Commonwealth Club on January 28th, "The High Road to a True Smart Grid."
Peter Asmus is an author and a senior research analyst contributing to Pike Research’s Smart Grid and Smart Energy practices, with a focus on wind energy as well as emerging energy distribution models such as microgrids and virtual power plants.
Asmus has 25 years of experience in energy and environmental markets, as an analyst, writer, and consultant.
He is the author of Introduction to Energy in California, published by University of California Press, and has written extensively on the concept of micro grids and distributed energy generation.
