The Narrative tells us that Jesus arrived on the historical scene in the "fullness of time." In what sense does this fullness show up in the story? Paul explains that one element of fullness was the world-centric message of God identity that brought the Gentiles into the promises of God made long ago. Identity would break out and beyond the ethnocentric world into the universal nature of God. But another element of fullness that was necessary was regarding God's wrath. That fullness was modeled by unbelieving Israel. And the fullness of God's wrath was essential to gentile salvation as well. Not to determine who achieved proper faith and belief in order to obtain God identity, but rather to reveal the failure of all humanity to grasp anything through self as source. "He has found ALL under disobedience that He might have mercy upon ALL."
