We begin a look at the last level of first tier in Spiral Dynamics; Postmodernity. The postmodern level or stage reacts against the shortcomings of modernity. That is, humans can enter periods of deconstruction for a while, but they eventually long for a reformation of community or reconstruction. Post moderns do not want a regression to the older, Traditional definition of community. Rather, they want to transcend the tightly drawn boundaries of previous world views which excluded many others on the basis of class, race, gender and orthodoxy. This level is where progressive or emergent Christianity resides. So, the question in future episodes will be, "what comes after a first tier interpretation of Jesus as a religion?"
