The Genesis of human consciousness has 2 elements: Self as Source and Spirit as Source. Archaic Adam has an eye opening experience of Self. Abraham has an experience of Spirit as Source through living by faith. The Tribal level of Abrahamic consciousness points to different cosmologies. Tribe will evolve from the particularistic (Nation, singular) to the universal (All Nations).
God is Source of Identity. Faith points toward God's work, not humanity's.
A change of worlds resulted in a change of Identity.
Human Self as Source has historically produced division and conflict. Dependence on the human self for God Identity has been futile. Father Abraham was NOT a post modernist. Abrahamic faith pointed to spirit that transcends forms, divisions and denominations.
What then, does this mean for the transformation of our faith communities? Looking ahead, how should we interpret the Faith of Christ?
