Description

Welcome to this heartwarming episode of Paul's Positive Podcast, hosted by Amy Iverson. In this episode, we delve into an uplifting human-interest story from Northern Kentucky that beautifully exemplifies the power of community support and friendship.

Our focus is on David Iery, a cherished figure in his community, who, despite battling Stage 4 cancer, has made a tremendous impact on youth and high school sports. In a heartening show of unity, a group of local baseball coaches, usually rivals on the field, came together to surprise David with a Christmas tree adorned with 25 caps, each representing a different Northern Kentucky high school baseball team. This touching gesture, inspired by former coach Grady Brown, symbolizes unity and camaraderie that transcends competition.

Despite life's challenges, David's resilience inspired him to establish the David Iery Foundation, which supports cures for paralysis and further education. His indomitable spirit is celebrated through the “David Iery 110% Award,” which encourages others to give their all, regardless of difficulties.

Join us as we explore this touching story of unity and support, reminding us all of the profound impact empathy and solidarity can have, uplifting us during times of need.
