“L” is for Lieber, Oscar Montgomery (1830-1862). Geologist. The General Assembly elected Lieber “Geological, Mineralogical, and Agricultural Surveyor” of the state. In his position, Lieber produced four annual reports entitled Report on the Survey of South Carolina.
