Real talk - suffering is hard. Prolonged suffering in particular feels endless, pointless, painful and even cruel. But did you know that, according to Paul, one day all our suffering will seem like a "light and momentary affliction" (2 Cor. 4:17)? If you've suffered deeply, or if you're going through deep suffering right now, this bit of scripture may feel especially unbelievable.
And yet, we also know deep down that God has more for His children than endless, needless suffering. In Christian spirituality, suffering always has a purpose, and it always has an end.
If you've suffered, or are suffering now, and wondering "why?" - this sermon is for you. Join us as Ps. Sanetta unpacks the divine perspective on human suffering in Rom. 8:18-30.
