It's Thanksgiving season... What 2016 TV are you thankful for? Join us on this journey, won't you?
NEWS:
- HBO renews "Westworld" but we have to wait until 2018 to get it
- "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" has been renewed for another season and her show will move to Wednesday nights
- Syfy is developing Robert Heinlein's sci-fi classic novel "Stranger in a Strange Land" to series
- Marvel announced their new ABC series: "Inhumans"
- Strong rumor has Disney eyeing Netflix as their next acquisition
- HBO is still pushing for a "Game of Thrones" prequel series that would be based on the story bible GRRM created -- which contains thousands of pages, apparently -- for his original series of books.
- A "Saved by the Bell" producer finally revealed that Jesse Spano was originally addicted to speed… not caffeine pills. S&P at NBC vetoed that notion as speed was too dark an option for a Saturday morning show.
- According to a CBS executive named Jim Lanzone, their new "Star Trek" series wouldn't work on broadcast TV, saying: "Sci-fi is not something that has traditionally done really well on broadcast. It's not impossible, for the future, if somebody figures it out. But historically, a show like "Star Trek" wouldn't necessarily be a broadcast show, at this point."
