A British-Indian emigrant to the United States, Bhanu Kapil
lives in Colorado, where she teaches writing at Naropa University
and in the MFA low-residency program at Goddard College. She is the
author of five full-length works of poetry/prose, including, most
recently, Ban en Banlieue (Nightboat Books, 2015). She has
been incubating "Ban" through performances, talks, and
collaborations in the U.S., India, and the U.K.
