Description

Radiokeys' leading lady Emily sits down with singer/songwriter Ann Daniels on a rainy Sunday night in Oakland. They discuss her musical journey that started with growing up in Hawaii in a house that loved Karaoke, playing Ukulele in 4th grade and transitioning to flute, having songwriting assignments in High School, and landing a job stage-managing for music festivals before eventually rediscovering her love for performing music by attending Bay Area open mics.

They also discuss their mutual love of Jeopardy, how the Wizard of Oz is “a little scary,” how Ann met one of her future bandmates on a dating app, and their feelings about the Taylor Swift documentary along with the song they both secretly love. They also talk about Radiokeys' album, Ann’s plans for future recordings, and how songwriting is like sewing a quilt. At the close of the conversation Ann even plays a live original tune “Scorned Lovers’ Ukulele Choir!”
