The highest prices ever paid for 5-weight steers have been concentrated in recent weeks, with 8 of the top 10 sales recorded in September 2025. The all-time leader came on September 4th at Enid, OK, where 10 head at 530 pound steers sold for $540.00.

On August 26th, 700 pound steers posted a national weighted average of $387.92, the highest in history.
