Tyree Evans, who is a native of Richmond’s South Side, was a star at George Wythe High School in the early 2000s. As guard, Evans holds several state records in VHSL history. That included 884 points as a senior which is sixth in VHSL history for one season. Evans’ story is something he wants to use to try to steer others in the right direction. His standout career at George Wythe led him to commit to play at Cincinnati under then-coach Bob Huggins. But Evans attended prep school first, at The Winchendon School in Massachusetts. After two junior colleges, he landed at Kent State. Evans then had a professional career that took him to Italy, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia. CEO & President of Salute ENT and community organizer/leader helping uplift his community is where Evan's is currently spending his time along with his new business venture and restaurant scheduled to open at the end of the month.
