Episode 103 - ANSI Standard Goes Into Effect 04.01.2022

Dun, dun, dun!!! Fannie and Freddie have finally spoken and have set April 1, 2022 as the date for all appraisers to use ANSI to measure properties. This will have wide ranging changes so you better get ready.

• 01:15 – Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will require all appraisals with an effective date of April 1, 2022, or after to comply with ANSI measurement standards.
• 03:20 – Two standards that exist.
• 04:10 – Consistency is very important across the industry.
• 06:45 – This is not a requirement for agents, but this change will trickle down to agents. Pay attention!
• 09:00 – Public demands this. Agents should be very aware of this and handle it properly.
