Many Sellers overlook the importance of curb appeal. Experienced Realtors will tell you that they have had Buyers ask to move on without getting out of the car because of BAD curb appeal. Making the interior of your home appealing is important but the Buyer may not even wish to get that far if the exterior doesn't show any pride of ownership.
