Feelings (or emotions) aren't all or nothing. You can carry some of the heavier ones (like grief and sadness) around with you while you still live your life. While you still go to work and feed your kids and even go to the grocery store.
The key is to just keep allowing them, feeling them and not trying to make them go away.
