In 1997, Paul Verhoeven adapted Robert Heinlein's novel about a future where Earth is attacked by an alien species known as Arachnids, or The Bugs. The film follows Johnny Rico as he begins as a military grunt, preparing for a battle he's never seen before. Along the way, his friends Carmen, Dizzy, and Carl are also followed as we lead to a full-on war they never saw coming!
