Find out what the most commonly misunderstood texts about the kingdom are as well as how to interpret them within their own contexts.  In this final session of the kingdom of God class, we’ll look at these important verses:

  1. Matthew 16.28 “Some…will not taste death until they see…the kingdom”
  2. Luke 17.21 “The kingdom of God is in your midst”
  3. Matthew 24.34 “This generation will not pass away until all these things take place”
  4. Luke 23.43 “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise”
  5. John 18.36 “My kingdom is not of this world”
  6. John 14.3 “I go and prepare a place for you”
  7. 2 Corinthians 5.8 “to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord”
  8. Philippians 1.23 “My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better”
  9. Ecclesiastes 12.7 “The dust returns to the earth…and the spirit returns to God”
