Interview with Pam Martin Johnston.
Besides going to school with Pam Martin at MCHS, we worked together for years and years at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. In fact she trained me in my first position in the Food and Beverage Department. We still wonder why we didn't run away to Mexico with over 30K when we were 18! https://www.ranchobernardoinn.com/
Pamela is an accomplished interior designer with a diverse set of skills and experience. In addition to her career in design, Pamela worked for many years in the luxury hospitality industry. This experience afforded her a strong foundation in high level service and an understanding of how to create comfortable, luxurious surroundings. Pamela graduated with honors from San Diego State’s FIDER accredited Interior Design Program, earning a BA in Applied Arts & Sciences with an emphasis in Interior Design. She has worked in the design-build industry for over 15 years as a Senior Interior Designer, Director of Design, Project Manager and independent designer in the San Diego and surrounding areas specializing in high end custom home design. Pamela is well-versed in all aspects of residential design and construction, including architectural planning, energy-efficient design, kitchen and bath design, custom cabinetry, and project management.
Helping clients achieve a vision for their homes and bringing that vision to life is a passion for Pam, who has dedicated much of her career to extraordinary client care. Pam is committed to building strong relationships with clients, vendors, team members and her community. Pam’s abilities to guide, inspire and create help clients to imagine new creative and functional possibilities for their homes.
Outside of work, Pam enjoys a rich life full of family, friends, dogs, travel, laughter and great food and wine. She is highly involved in volunteer work on board a faith based non-profit team that strives to create community and a sense of belonging, Uncommon Good.
