A dear soul, Vincent Filardi, understood this. It is sad to think of life without Vincent, as he passed away last year. He carried with him a phrase that he offered like a lantern in dark places: “Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real.” It’s not clear where this wisdom came from for Vincent, but he knew that fear often masquerades as truth. He knew people needed to be reminded that what feels real is not always what is real, and he was right.
