Tasha Dixon is a latinx actress, filmmaker, and artivist. She was also the first woman to speak out about Donald Trump’s abuse of power toward women in the 2001 Miss USA competition, where she competed as Miss Arizona USA. Tasha is now focused on transforming her experience into art. She recently collaborated with This Is Us writer and producer Julia Brownell to develop an off-Broadway hit in which she also starred, before co-producing, directing, and starring in an LA Hollywood Pop production of the show that raised money for TIME’S UP and We the Women Collective. Our conversation in this episode was the first time we really got a chance to talk. She’s an inspirational figure, and I hope you find our conversation as interesting as I did!
