To be honest... chickens terrified me! Give me a 1000 lb animal any day over something that could peck me! BUT after working with these birds for a few years now, I have come to love them. I love having fresh eggs each morning. I love having meat in our freezer that we raised. I love the view of them scratching through the yard each morning as they dig for bugs. So today we are going to chat in our mini homesteading series about your chicken options!
