Description

On Trimmel Gomes’ latest episode of The Rotunda, exposing Tallahassee’s so-called code of silence about the influence of sex in the legislative process. The latest target, Senate Appropriations Chair Jack Latvala (R-Clearwater), stands accused by six unnamed women of sexual harassment and groping. Gomes also follows the ongoing fallout from Hurricane Irma. Advocates are set to deliver petition signatures from more than 12,000 concerned Floridians urging the Legislature to launch an investigation into Gov. Rick Scott and his administration's role in the deaths of 14 Florida nursing-home residents following the storm. Brandy Doyle, a campaign manager with CREDO Action and Kip Corriveau with the Bon Secours St. Petersburg Health System, discuss Scott's role during and after the tragedy.
