SCHOOL FUNDING ENDS - With the emergency pandemic funding about to run out, there is growing concerns about possible job cuts in school districts across the country. The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) grants end in September. The money went towards bringing in additional teachers, providing school, counselors and mental health professionals to help address learning loss from the pandemic. The expiration of the federal funding could impact social workers, school nurses, behavioral specialists school counselors and other school employees.
