MEDICAL DEBT - The cost of health continues to rise and that means even with insurance, your medical bills may be more of a challenge. A new consumer watchdog report is outlining how to navigate medical bills and other health care charges. This comes as nearly one in 10 people nationwide have medical debt. This includes nearly 11 million people owe more than $2,000 and 3 million people owe more than $10,000, according to national surveys. In this report, researchers explain how to understand confusing policies and billing processes such understanding what is and isn’t covered with the No Surprise Act. We break down some of these findings.
