FEMA HURRICANE RESPONSE - Today tropical Storm Idalia pounded the Carolinas on its way out to the Atlantic Ocean, leaving a trail of flooding and destruction throughout parts of Florida and Georgia. FEMA has active Response Coordination Centers in DC and Atlanta to help coordinate the federal government’s support to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. However this comes as FEMA is at risk of running out of money by next month unless Congress passes additional funding.
