Yesterday’s event in Washington, D.C. were historic, and for the first time in our nation’s history a congressional committee recommended criminal charges against a former President.
The January 6th Committee, in its 154 page summary released on Monday, laid responsibility for the events that took place that day squarely on the former President.
The report noted that, "[T]he central cause of January 6th was one man, former President Donald Trump, who many others followed” and that, "None of the events of January 6th would have happened without him."
With all of the coverage and commentary over the last 24 hours, we wanted to dig into what may come next here as the recommendations move to a legal process at the Department of Justice.
