A new report sounds the alarm about the risk that some county election officials could refuse to certify the results this November, if Kamala Harris defeats Donald Trump

This new study from CREW, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, finds that dozens of election deniers who tried to keep Joe Biden’s victory in 2020 from becoming official are in key posts in county election departments across pivotal swing states. This comes as concerns rise that changes in laws, and the election of more Trump supporters to some local election offices, could mean that even if Harris wins in states such as Arizona or Georgia, these officials could refuse to certify legitimate results in an effort to award that state’s electoral votes to Donald Trump instead of Kamala Harris.

For more on this, KCBS Insider Doug Sovern and KCBS Radio anchor Bret Burkhart were joined by Noah Bookbinder, President of CREW, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
