The battle is joined over California’s Proposition 30, which had its
formal campaign kickoff today in Oakland.
This comes two days after Governor Newsom launched a TV ad
campaign against the ballot measure, as first reported right here on KCBS Radio.
That commercial made its debut on this program on Monday, when we
spoke with one of the people leading the campaign to defeat Prop 30. Today, KCBS Radio's Patti Reising, Bret Burkhart, and Doug Sovern are joined by one of the people who helped write this initiative, which would raise income taxes on people making over two million dollars a year, to help California expand its fleet of electric vehicles, build more charging stations and other infrastructure, and support wildfire prevention and suppression.
