Description

The governor vetoed AB957, a bill that passed both houses of the
state legislature easily. It would have required California judges ruling on child
custody and visitation cases to take into consideration whether a parent affirms
the child’s gender identity. But he signed several other bills to protect LGBTQ
rights, and he is trumpeting his signature on those new laws. For more, we are joined Doug Sovern, Brett Burkhart and Patti Reising spoke with Tony Hoang, executive director of Equality California, the largest statewide LGBTQ+ rights organization in America.
