The race to replace Dianne Feinstein in the Senate seems to be narrowing to a two-way battle. Meanwhile, Governor Newsom is catching some flak for how he would handle appointing a temporary replacement, should Feinstein be unable to finish her term.
That looms as a very real possibility, given Senator Feinstein’s obviously declining health and the persistent questions about her mental acuity.
