Republican lawmakers in Sacramento say they’ve got the answer to
California’s recent surge in violent crime, including a wave of mass shootings. Republican members of the State Assembly gathered on the steps of
the State Capitol today to unveil a package of bills they say will help law
enforcement and crime victims.
While Democrats call for more gun control, their GOP counterparts say California needs to better enforce the laws that are already on the books, and give police more tools to prevent violent crime in the first place.
