Description

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a global grassroots force of 1.5 million volunteers saving lives in every community. As the largest voluntary health organization, the Society's efforts have contributed to a 27 percent decline in cancer death rates in the U.S. since 1991, and a 50 percent drop in smoking rates.

The American Cancer Society is partnering with construction professionals in Southern California for a unique fundraising event that caters to the fascination of children toward large construction machinery.

Cathy Zappia, Health Systems Manager for ACS and Randi Stuart who is the Community Development Manager came on the program to talk about the Construction vs Cancer/THE BIG DIG Event in the Inland Empire on March 7.
