Established in at the turn of the century, the HeartGift Foundation is a nonprofit organization that brings children from around the world for free surgery to correct life-threatening congenital heart defects. It all started in Austin, Texas, and has now planted other chapters in multiple cities. Since its founding, HeartGift has treated more than 200 children from over 30 countries. John D. Oswalt, M.D., Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of HeartGift, sat down with Juliet Brandon to speak about Heart Gift and their 2017 Gala.
