Texas Gun Sense began in 2007 as Students for Gun-Free Schools in Texas, a non-profit organization founded by survivors of the Virginia Tech shooting. Texas Gun Sense advocates for common sense, evidence-based policies to reduce gun injuries and deaths. Andrea Brauer, Executive Director for Texas Gun Sense joined the program to discuss HB1911—the unlicensed carrying of handguns.
