The Minneapolis City Council is taking of a thorny issue….trying to restrict the sales of menthol tobacco cigarettes. Why? PHIL GARDNER, have the health aspects of this discussion…and RICHARD BOEHNEN, a local businessman who owns two convenience stores in Minneapolis has a different opinion….and its money related. Former Minneapolis City Councilman GARY SCHIFF joins Jearlyn. For 12 years he was on the City Council, and is now running for his former seat once again. He has seen the inner workings of the City Council working with the Police Department, the Mayor’s Office, and can comment on what has taken place with the police force during the tenure of Janea Harteau, and he of course knows the acting chief, Medaria Arradondo.
