Though the White House claims the bill will not add to the federal deficit, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that the package will cost nearly $400 billion—despite tax increases. Klingensmith believes that if Build Back Better were to pass in the Senate, and ultimately signed into law, the nation's inflation-related problems would be exasperated.
