- The House’s January 6th Committee Hearing opened with Rep. Bennie Thompson playing a clip of former Attorney General Bill Barr disputing Donald Trump’s claim that the 2020 election was stolen.
- During Thursday night’s hearing, Rep. Liz Cheney claimed that Representative Scott Perry (R-PA) requested Donald Trump pardon him for his role in the 2021 Capitol riots. Perry has denied the claims.
- Thursday night’s hearing, U.S. Capitol Hill police officer Caroline Edwards spoke about what she witnessed and experienced during the January 6th riots. Edwards described witnessing a “war scene” and testifying that she was “slipping in people’s blood.”
