- On Monday, Philadelphia announced the city’s new Violence Prevention Hotline is active and will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Philadelphians can now call 2-1-1 and access a variety of social services including peer counseling and crisis mediation.
- Michael Busler—Professor of Finance & Economics at Stockton University—joins the show to discuss his latest editorial, “Billionaire Tax is Wrong, Unfair, and Counter-Productive.” On Monday, President Joe Biden announced his new $5.8 trillion budget proposal which would include a wealth tax targeting Americans on unsold assets that have increased in value (like stocks). Dr. Busler explains that the proposed budget would add $1 trillion to our already existing $31.5 trillion of national debt. With annual interest expenses approaching $400 billion, how much more debt are we willing to accumulate?
