- On Tuesday, the Delaware Senate passed legislation which would outlaw firearm magazines holding more than 17 bullets. The bill was passed on a 13 to 7 vote—receiving no Republican support.
- While visiting South Street in the aftermath of Saturday evening’s shooting, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said the city is doing everything in its power to limit gun violence. When asked by a reporter if city administrators were doing “everything right”, Kenney curtly responded by questioning if the reporter does everything right?
- Legendary CBS3 reporter Trudy Haynes has passed away at age 95. In 1965, Haynes became the first Black TV reporter in Philadelphia.
- Uvalde teacher Arnulfo Reyes spoke with ABC News, expressing his anger and disappointment over how police onsite handled the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. All eleven students in Reyes’ classroom were killed.
