- 21-year-old Jailene Holton has been identified as the victim of a senseless, deadly shooting at a Northeast Philadelphia Bar on Tuesday night. Holton was rushed to Jefferson Hospital but did not survive. According to police, a customer who had been asked to leave the bar for being disruptive fired fifteen shots into the restaurant.
- The Pennsylvania House passed a measure that would allow for a committee to investigate Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner. The measure received bipartisan support with 4 democrats voting in favor along with 110 Republicans.
- On Thursday morning, the U.S. Supreme Court issued rulings in two more landmark cases. In West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency, the court placed limitations on the authority of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other regulatory agencies. And in Biden v. Texas, the court ruled in favor of the Biden Administration—stating that the executive branch did, in fact, have the authority to cancel the Migrant Protection Protocols policy initiated under former President Donald Trump during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

- While speaking at a news conference at the NATO Summit in Madrid, Spain, President Joe Biden stated that Roe v. Wade and the right to abortion must be codified into law—even if it requires doing away with the Senate filibuster.
