- A Philadelphia store clerk fought back and fired her gun at two armed robbers who had shot her several times. Police believe at least one of the suspects may have been hit. The store clerk is in critical condition.
- On Monday night, a vigil was held for 23-year-old Hyram Hill Jr. who was shot nine times and murdered on his way home from work. Hill’s mother, Edwina Ferguson, is a 17-year police veteran.
- Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced his department’s adoption of a new program—the Emerging Adult Initiative Program.
