Every session of the state legislature seems to have this form of a bill put in the hopper, where there's a call for Texas to possibly secede from the United States for one reason or another.
A state rep from Royse City, Bryan Slaton filed the bill called the "TEXIT Referendum Act". He says Texas should declare its independence, and put it to the voters in November.
