Chicago Closing Indoor Dining, Bars On Friday
- Chicago is ready to shut down again as coronavirus cases skyrocket.
- Starting Friday, Chicago restaurants and bars will once again shut down indoor services.
- Outside services must close by 11 p.m. and reservations will be required for each party and gatherings go back to 25 or less.
- Governor JB Pritzker announced the restrictions Tuesday afternoon and Mayor Lori Lightfoot has pushed back.
- Governor J.B. Pritzker says they can't ignore what's happening "because without action, this could look worse than anything" they saw in the spring.
- Many hospitals are said to be admitting 50 patients a day, five times the number in June.
- In Chicago, the number of non-ICU patients is up 72% since late September and the number of those in ICU is up 56% since October 1.
